The huge beautiful red wooden house with the fantastic glass veranda, has a history since 1890. The pension is an excellent base for collecting power and inspiration from the surrounding scenery, to approach the culture nearby – or to dive into the history which this landscape has grown out of.

Our pension has 13 double and 2 single rooms, totally 28 beds, with a washbowl in each room as well as common showers and toilets. All the rooms have been refurnished during the last years and have each their own character. From some of the rooms there is an exit to the balcony surrounding almost the complete house. There you can sit and enjoy the piece, reading a book and/or having a drink.

Bicycle package 2 days
Serpentine country roads or steep hills in the mountains. Well deserved rest in the bedroom and refreshing supper in the dining room.
Take the opportunity to explore the Omberg surroundings by bicycle.
This two day event brings you, on a bicycle, over Omberg and its surroundings.
We recommend the “Häggesta round trip” for the first day. You pedal through the landscape and visit the Middle Age Heda church, the hills of Häggestad and the Stora Lund national park. The picnic lunch might be eaten in some nice juniper hill. Before returning to the hotel, a stop at the Hästholmen harbour is highly recommended. It is a beautiful place and has also a choice of refreshments, such as ice cream or coffee
The extent of this trip can be fitted according to energy and desire.
After this day´s activities, you enjoy a three course dinner in the restaurant while enjoying the fabulous view. You sleep in the charming pension room and reload for next day´s bicycle tour over the hill.
Day two you explore Omberg at your own pace. Here there is cycling for all categories. All from easy tarmac roads to steep wonderful country roads embedded in thickly foliaged beech trees. We show you a route,suiting your abilities and wishes. Take a long break in a cosy place and enjoy your picnic lunch before continuing your excursion.

Kayak package 2 days
Slow tour along the beaches of the lake Vättern – or adventures on savage waves. Relax in your room and enjoy your dinner at the Omberg Tourist Hotel.
The first day you paddle to caves, bluff cliffs and deserted beaches. Go ashore and enjoy the picnic lunch we gave you.
After a day´s activities you sit down at a laid table in our restaurant for a three course dinner. You enjoy the incomparable view over the lake and after all that you go to bed in a charming room.
Day two begins with a huge breakfast. Arriving to the lake, you start paddling southbound. You might visit the Stora Lund National park. Maybe you choose to have your picnic lunch at the cliffs there. When you have rested, you paddle along to the Öninge harbour, which is the end station for the day.

The evening of your arrival offers dinner (one course).
Have our huge breakfast first thing the next morning, before starting the activities of the day. You can walk, drive or go by bicycle in the beautiful surroundings. You can also go by car to Vadstena which is a close by, charming city from the middle age. We provide a picnic lunch to be eaten somewhere during your excursion.
A three course dinner with chosen wines will make your evening.
You sleep, lullabyes unnecessary, in a nice quiet room.
Next morning, after breakfast, you stroll in the surroundings. Maybe you pay a visit to the home of Ellen Key and/or go to look at the Alvastra monastery – both within walking distance.
We serve a two course Sunday lunch before your departure.
